Dinner & A Show: Liliana’s Italian Kitchen
As its name suggests, Liliana’s Italian Kitchen, a casual restaurant that opened in Sappington in July, is serving home-style Italian cooking.
The eatery comes from husband and wife Tim and Kathy Pieri, who named the restaurant after their 13-year-old daughter. Tim Pieri brings 30 years of industry experience to the table, including co-owning Harry’s Restaurant & Bar, which closed in late 2016.
Liliana’s Italian Kitchen fills the approximately 2,800-square-foot space previously occupied by Molldeli’s Delicatessen, which the Pieris purchased in June with the intention to convert into its current incarnation. Molldeli’s Delicatessen’s previous owner, Brad Brockmeier, serves as Liliana’s Italian Kitchen’s general manager.
“My main thing was just creating a casual place with great food at a great price that people could enjoy,” Tim Pieri says. “It’s very family-oriented.”
The cozy space, which holds seats for 75 guests, received a coat of red paint, new furniture and classic décor from the Rat Pack era. A pickup window and delivery are also available for guests not looking to dine in.
